Lappy Little Boat is searching for his place in the world.
He is so very small and the world is so very big! Lappy is lost and lonely and he longs for someone to belong to, to love, to be loved by and to rely on for comfort and safety.
After searching the ocean, far and wide, Lappy finds his voice. His song of love reverberates until a special boat hears his call.
Together they form a long-lasting bond to withstand any storm.

A beautiful picture book to guide the loving bond between child and parent. There is nothing more important than a child feeling the love and emotional presence of their parent. Lappy Little Boat highlights this bond and the essential elements that support it – the ability to both adventure into the world with loving support and the confidence to be welcomed back home into loving arms. Both children and parents alike will love and enjoy the colourful illustrations and the warm and comforting message about the importance of a loving nurturing bond.

What a beautiful book. The colourful imagery and comforting words are sure to delight young children and, equally, their loving grown-ups. It’s a wonderful acknowledgement of the importance of feeling loved, safe and ‘anchored’.

‘We were at Mooloolaba this weekend just gone and our daughter Lexie spotted these boats out on the water. She said, “look mummy there’s happy lappy! Oh and he has found his mummy!” (meaning the cruise ship)! Your book has stuck!’
